M J Akbar
M.J. Akbar is a distinguished journalist, writer and former politician. A somewhat controversial figure, Akbar is a Muslim who has, for many years written about religious conflict. Most recently he has published Tinderbox: The Past and Future of Pakistan, a fascinating history, that begins in the 12the century. Akbar’s earlier titles include The Shade of Swords: Jihad and the Conflict between Islam and Christianity, Byline and the novel Blood Brothers. He is currently the Editorial Director of India Today and Headlines Today as well as the editor of The Sunday Guardian. He lives in Delhi.
