Boat People : Linda Jaivin, Juan Gabriel Vásquez and Caryl Phillips

Adelaide Writers' Week - Tuesday, March 6 2012

Australia / Columbia - Spain

West Stage, 12pm

It is possible that we are currently experiencing the largest migration in human history. Some argue that with migration comes economic and social progress. Here in Australia we remain anxious. This nation of immigrants is increasingly uneasy about the arrival of the next wave. Join Linda Jaivin, writer and refugee activist, as she and her guests Juan Gabriel Vasquez and Caryl Phillips consider the longest journey.
