Nicholas Jose is an award-winning writer, translator, editor and scholar. Jose has written widely on Australian and Asian culture. His most recent book is a novel, Original Face.  His earlier books include Black Sheep: Journey to Borroloola, The Red Thread and Chinese Whispers: cultural essays. Jose was a member of the Writing and Society Research Centre, University of Western Sydney until the end of 2011. During which time he was also the general editor of the Macquarie PEN Anthology of Australian Literature and Visiting Chair of Australian Studies at Harvard University, 2009-11. He is currently Professor of English and Creative Writing at the University of Adelaide.
