Steven Poole is a British author and journalist. He writes extensively on books and culture for The Guardian and other publications. Most recently Poole has written You Aren’t What You Eat, a knowing and often very funny polemic against ‘foodies’. Poole has also written about political speech as ‘weaponized rhetoric’, Unspeak, and about video games as a new art form, Trigger Happy. Poole is a regular contributor on BBC television, BBC radio, NPR, and ABC radio. He is also a composer of music for documentaries and short films, including the award-winning EVOL film. He lives in London.
