Dark Horsey Bookshop, AEAF

For the 2014 Adelaide Festival the Dark Horsey Bookshop at the Australian Experimental Art Foundation will be transformed into a Reading Room. Audiences are invited to spend time in the Dark Horsey space, engaging with signature publications by Artists’ Week participants along with other hard-to-find titles.

During Artists’ Week, Art in the Global Present a new book of essays edited by Nikos Papastergiadis and Victoria Lynn, will be available for purchase in the Allan Scott Auditorium and the Reading Room. This publication features papers delivered during the 2010 and 2012 Artists’ Week Symposiums, an integral part of the Adelaide Festival Visual Arts Program.

Art in the Global Present includes the words of a diverse range of art practitioners and commentators; acclaimed artists Lucy Orta, Callum Morton, Danae Stratou and the collective Postcommodity, international curators Hou Hanru, Cuauhtémoc Medina, Ranjit Hoskote and Linda Marie Walker and art critics, academics, writers and theorists Jean Burgess, Paul Carter, Barbara Creed, Geert Lovink, Scott McQuire, NikosPapastergiadis, Gerald Raunig and Jan Verwoert.
