Hannie Rayson

Hannie Rayson is one of Australia’s best-known playwrights, the author of fourteen plays including Inheritance, Life After George and Two Brothers. Her break-through work, Hotel Sorrento, is now an Australian classic. Rayson was the joint recipient of the Sidney Myer Performing Arts Award in 1996 and has won Victorian and NSW Premier's Literary Awards and three prestigious Helpmann awards. She is the only playwright ever to be nominated for the Miles Franklin Award. In March 2015 Rayson will publish a book of auto-biographical essays, Hello Beautiful! She lives in Melbourne.
