Yesteryear

Caro Claire Burke’s Yesteryear has taken the publishing world by storm. Blending time travel, romance and sharp-eyed satire, her debut novel follows Natalie, a successful social media influencer who finds herself transported to 1855 long before hashtags and curated perfection. Exploring modern influencer culture and the rise of the “trad wife” movement, Yesteryear has divided opinion and dominated literary commentary. Burke speaks about the continuing influence of regressive ideals and how contemporary feminism is responding to renewed debates about women’s rights.
