Free Opening Concert

Pulp, fronted by the legendary Jarvis Cocker, defined a generation with their sharp, ironic take on everyday life. Hits like Common People have become anthems of a new class consciousness and their energetic live shows blend theatrical spectacle with an infectious mix of glam rock, disco, new wave and British indie.

In a return to the massive opening night concerts that have long been a part of the Festival’s DNA, we bring you Pulp, for free, in Elder Park. Fresh from their triumphant set on Glastonbury’s Pyramid Stage in 2025, Pulp’s highly anticipated return to Australia celebrates the release of the Mercury-nominated More, their first album in over 20 years. Expect a night of wit, energy and nostalgia from these “magnificently misshapen oddballs of British pop” (The Guardian).

DJ Craig

DJ Craig

From 5pm

DJ Craig has been a staple of the retro and indie club scenes in Adelaide since the mid 90s, resident at such legendary venues as Supermild, Proscenium, Jive, Cry Baby, Nightshade and The Austral. He is also behind Australia’s longest running indie night, Gosh!, which held tenure at Jive for well over 10 years, playing a diet of solely indie music; a tough niche but one that would see the venue filled to the brim every Saturday at its peak. Craig controls the dance floor with his unique live mixes of retro and indie music - no laptops, USBs or software - mixing the old fashioned way with ears, hands, CDs and a pair of headphones.
