Help us sustain a cultural icon

Adelaide Festival excels thanks to a passionate community of donors who believe in the power of the arts to move, connect and inspire. Each year, their generosity helps bring to life a bold and breathtaking program—spanning every genre and featuring world-renowned artists, authors and creators from around the globe.

Philanthropy contributes over 10% of the Festival’s annual income, making it essential to delivering a full program of unforgettable events. It also ensures the Festival remains accessible to all—supporting free public performances, equity initiatives, and opportunities for young people, including school-aged children, to experience the magic of the arts.

Every gift—large or small—helps make Adelaide Festival and Adelaide Writers’ Week possible.

A donation to Adelaide Festival helps us present a festival program that connects artists with audiences, enhances community engagement and celebrates the transformative power of the arts.

All donations $500 and above will be acknowledged on our website as an Adelaide Festival Benefactor.

DONATE

A donation to Adelaide Writers’ Week helps us bring together the world’s most celebrated, established and emerging writers, in a Writers’ Week program that remains free and accessible for all.

All donations $500 and above will be acknowledged on our website as an Adelaide Writers’ Week Benefactor.

DONATE

If you have any questions or would prefer to donate over the phone, please call (08) 8216 4479 or email philanthropy@adelaidefestival.com.au and our team will be happy to assist you.

Deepen Your Impact

If you are looking for an increased level of involvement and financial support, join one of our Adelaide Festival or Adelaide Writers’ Week donor circles and align your giving with your passion.

All donations of $5,000 or more will receive a complimentary Adelaide Festival Friends membership and access to Adelaide Festival personalised ticketing serviced by the Philanthropy team.

“Becoming a Benefactor is the natural progression from being an appreciative and receptive audience member to becoming a Friend of the Festival, then realizing that in my small personal way I can contribute to the creation of pieces that will move and amaze me and give me something to think about for many years.”
- Helen Barlas

We never share any of the personal information you provide when making a donation. You can read our Privacy Statement HERE.

Thank You

We gratefully acknowledge our community of generous individuals, foundations and companies who support our vision for Adelaide Festival and Adelaide Writers’ Week. We thank all listed below who have committed their support, as well as the many donors who have donated gifts of under $500. Without you, we would not be as bold and brave, or as adventurous in our programming and delivery of each Festival – year after year.

"A significant highlight for us every year, is to come to the Adelaide Festival – but very importantly to be part of the Opera Donor Circle.  We have helped to support wonderful operas over the years – Innocence in 2025 being just one of those events that stays with you long after the performance. In fact, we now choose to go twice to each opera!  We are beautifully looked after and come home stimulated and very happy indeed.  I can only say it is an absolute privilege to be part of this Adelaide Festival Opera Donor family!"
- Bronny Carroll

"Growing up, I never had the opportunity to attend the arts. I came to it later in life and I hope that my support can allow greater access to the wider community, particularly those who experienced hardship like I did growing up."
- Dr Scott C Y Ma
