We are looking for skilled and enthusiastic individuals to join our festival team. Whether your strengths lie in stage management, operations, site builds and bump-outs, or technical production, you will play a key role in bringing our festival to life. With a strong focus on professionalism, problem-solving and attention to detail, successful applicants will contribute to the seamless delivery of events and the exceptional experiences that define Adelaide Festival.
These opportunities are anticipated to be short-term contract or casual positions. Employment will primarily take place during the Festival delivery period, February to March 2027.

Marketing & Content Coordinator
Oct 2026 - Mar 2027
The Marketing and Content Coordinator is a key member of the Adelaide Festival Marketing and Communications team, responsible for general marketing activities and with a key focus on delivering engaging social media content and supporting the Festival’s digital marketing. Working across the Festival program, including Adelaide Writers’ Week, this role manages social media channels, creates and schedules content, and supports audience engagement through timely and brand-aligned communication.
This is a highly creative and fast-paced role that combines content creation and social media management with broad marketing support during key Festival delivery periods. You will be actively involved in producing visual content, supporting campaign activity and helping maintain a strong and consistent online presence. If you're a creative and digitally confident marketing professional with strong writing skills, experience in social media content creation and a passion for contemporary arts and storytelling, we'd love to hear from you.

Volunteer opportunities for the 2027 Adelaide Festival and Adelaide Writers’ Week events will open in November 2026.

The volunteer database of Adelaide Festival is managed by the South Australian Festival Volunteer Network (FVN), an independent, not-for-profit service connecting volunteers to festivals and events in South Australia. Facilitated by Festival City Adelaide, South Australia’s peak body for festivals and events, the FVN aims to support and enhance the quality of experience for both volunteers and participating festivals in their volunteerism journey. The FVN utilises the online Volunteer Management Platform Be Collective which provides a centralised online network of volunteers for festivals and events across South Australia, promotes a sense of community, a user-friendly experience, and a smooth transition for those volunteering across multiple festivals.
