adelaide festival terms & conditions of sale
Tickets sold or issued by Adelaide Festival are subject to the following Terms and Conditions of Sale and the Live Performance Australia (LPA) Ticketing Code of Practice. By purchasing or registering to attend an Adelaide Festival event, you agree to abide by these terms and conditions. Tickets may be subject to additional terms and conditions including specific conditions of entry issued by each venue.
Patrons are not entitled to an exchange or refund due to change of mind or circumstance, including unforeseen travel delays or health problems. Adelaide Festival will offer a refund if the event is cancelled, rescheduled, or significantly relocated, in accordance with LPA guidelines. Adelaide Festival is not responsible for any additional expenses incurred by the patron in these circumstances, for example cost of travel including car parking, childcare, and accommodation.
Adelaide Festival will take all reasonable steps to notify ticket holders of any event cancellations or rescheduled performances provided accurate patron details are given at the time of purchase.
Latecomers may not be admitted until a suitable break in the performance. In some circumstances, where required by the performance, latecomers may not be admitted at all. Adelaide Festival and venue management reserves the right of admission. Tickets will not be exchanged or refunded in these circumstances, unless required by law.
Adelaide Festival reserves the right to change ticket prices, seating arrangements and audience capacity, at any time and without notice.
All bookings are subject to availability.
Maximum ticket limits may be imposed. Adelaide Festival reserves the right to cancel orders that exceed the maximum ticket limit.
Where concessions are applicable, suitable and valid identification of that concession must be provided for collection of tickets and entry to the venue. Failure or refusal to provide valid proof of concession may result in non-admittance.
Lost or stolen General Admission tickets will not be replaced. Adelaide Festival reserves the right to charge an administration fee to issue replacement physical tickets for reserved seating events.
Each ticket issued has a unique identifier (barcode or QR code), including electronic/digital (print-at-home and mobile) tickets. It is the responsibility of the purchaser to ensure all members of the booking party have a valid ticket for entry.
Ticket prices are displayed in Australian dollars and are listed inclusive of all ticketing fees and charges; however, transaction fees will apply regardless of the number of tickets purchased.
The use of cameras, mobile phones and recording devices is strictly prohibited and will result in removal from the venue without refund.
Tickets may not be resold or offered for resale at a premium (more than 110% of the original ticket price) in line with South Australian Government legislation. If a ticket is sold or used in breach of this condition, the ticket may be cancelled without refund and the ticketholder refused admission to the event.
Tickets purchased through unauthorised resellers such as but not limited to the following sites: Viagogo, Ticketmaster Resale, eBay, Gumtree StubHub, may be fraudulent and entry to the venue is not guaranteed. Adelaide Festival is not responsible for honouring or refunding tickets purchased from unauthorised agents or resellers.
Adelaide Festival is required to sell tickets via other ticketing agents at certain venues, including but not limited to; Ticketek, Ticketmaster and Moshtix. Please note these ticketing agents may have separate terms and conditions of sale which patrons should familiarise themselves with before consenting to the purchase.
COmplaints handling policy
Adelaide Festival believes that effective complaints management is crucial for maintaining the positive reputation of the Festival and ensuring the satisfaction of our audiences. For more information, please read our Complaints Handling Policy.
Adelaide Festival events may still be subject to changing COVID-19 health and safety guidelines. All attendees will be required to comply with all SA Government and venue directions in place at the time of the event which may include, but is not limited to, vaccination policies, QR check-in, wearing of masks, hand sanitisation upon entry, social distancing, and other conditions of entry. If additional conditions apply to your attendance, Adelaide Festival will use all reasonable efforts to communicate these requirements prior to the event.
Patrons must sit in their allocated seats as directed by venue management. In the case that capacity restrictions are imposed (or lifted) prior to an event, Adelaide Festival will amend audience capacity and seating arrangements in line with Government directives.
Adelaide Festival reserves the right to change its procedures for collection of tickets, and physical tickets may not be issued for some or all events. Instead, an electronic ticket (print-at-home or mobile ticket) may be issued, or the patron’s name checked at the entrance against details provided at the time of booking, and valid identification.
covid-19 FLEXIBLE TICKETING POLICY
In the case that a patron has received a positive COVID-19 test result or is isolating while awaiting a COVID-19 test result, ticket exchanges can be facilitated on the following terms -
- Ticket exchanges must be made in advance of the original event date on the ticket, and cannot be facilitated retrospectively
- Ticket exchanges must be for a future performance of the same event, depending on availability. If an alternative date cannot be found, a refund will be given
Patrons may be asked to submit proof of their positive test result.
Exchanges or refunds may not be applied to the entire booking unless all members of the booking party have the same circumstances (isolation or illness).
For interstate and overseas patrons who may be affected by border closures (if imposed) and isolation requirements, please contact Adelaide Festival as soon as practicable in advance of the event. If a ticket exchange cannot be facilitated, a refund will be given.
If a patron is unwell with symptoms of COVID-19 and cannot attend the theatre, please contact Adelaide Festival as soon as practicable in advance of the event.
Patrons are not entitled to an exchange or refund due to change of mind or circumstance, or not wishing to attend an event due to fear of exposure to COVID-19.
