Purchasing Tickets

Standard terms and conditions of sale apply to all Adelaide Festival Friends tickets which are sold in accordance with Live Performance Australia guidelines (for further information please see (https://www.bass.net.au/conditions-of-sale/ and https://liveperformance.com.au/)

Due to the uncertainties of COVID19, Adelaide Festival have introduced updates to the ticketing policy giving patrons more flexibility in the case of illness or border closure.

Friends of the Festival Terms and Conditions

The 2020 Friends membership is valid until 30 June 2021.

The cost of the membership is $180, and transaction fees will apply when purchasing tickets.

Friends are entitled to 15% discount on adult ticket prices to select Adelaide Festival shows, limited to 2 tickets per event.

Friends can access the best seats in the house during the priority-booking period, on shows presented by the Adelaide Festival (excludes opening nights. Full list of exclusions will be available on the Booking Tickets page)

Friends are entitled to exchange tickets to shows presented by the Adelaide Festival. Exchanges will attract an $8.95 BASS transaction fee per booking. Exchanges can be made by contacting BASS on 131 246, and are subject to the following conditions:

  • The performance being exchanged from is not sold out
  • The performance being exchanged into must have available capacity
  • Tickets can only be exchanged into a different performance of the same show
  • If the new performance has a higher ticket price or seating in a higher price category is chosen, the difference in cost is payable by the patron
  • There are no refunds for cheaper tickets or for failure to attend the performance
  • Ticket exchanges must happen in advance of the performance, and cannot be made after the performance has taken place

Friends benefits vary annually at the discretion of the Adelaide Festival Corporation, and are subject to change depending on the Adelaide Festival program each year

The Friends membership number is the same your BASS account number. This number will be printed on Friends membership cards and posted in 7 – 10 business days

Friends membership prices are shown during the ticket purchasing process. Please ensure you select the price type after you have logged in on the Adelaide Festival or BASS websites

 Competitions and Give-Aways via the website and/or the E-Newsletter or festival surveys

For competitions/giveaways through which entrants must answer a specific question, unless otherwise stated in the premise: a winning entry/entries will be drawn at random; the first entry/entries drawn containing the correct answer will win. For competitions/giveaways through which entrants must provide a response, unless otherwise stated in the premise, a winning entry/entries will be chosen by a panel representing the Adelaide Festival based on creativity, originality and adherence to the brief, at the discretion of Adelaide Festival Corporation.

The Adelaide Festival Corporation may compile and publish entries and/or responses to online competitions.  In such cases, Adelaide Festival will not publish any  entrants' personal information unless specifically instructed to do so in writing by the competition entrant. By entering any Adelaide Festival competition and/or give-away, the entrant warrants that the submission (and any part thereof) is their own work, or that they have any permissions necessary from the owner of the material to reproduce and distribute the work, and gives permission for Adelaide Festival to publish this content through its social media, website and E-Newsletter.

All competitions/giveaways for which entrants must not submit a specific answer or response, winner(s) will be chosen at random.

All prizes/giveaways are non-transferable. By entering an Adelaide Festival competition, all entrants expressly agree to these terms and conditions.

We welcome you to leave comments on our website. All comments will go through a moderation process by Adelaide Festival; they will not be published immediately. We are not obligated to post any comment submitted and not obligated to justify any decision.
