Tom will talk to Amy Sole, a prominent Wiradjuri/Worimi director, playwright, actor and co-director of Whitefella Yella Tree and Tracey Rigney, award-winning playwright and filmmaker and proud Wotjobaluk and Ngarrindjer woman and her role in writing the theatre work Kumarangk (Hindmarsh Island) based on the true story of the Ngarrindjeri women who resisted the construction of the Hindmarsh Island bridge in Goolwa. This is part of a set of works, starting with the Kumarangk exhibition at ACE Gallery in 2026, followed by the theatre performance on Country and a documentary film.

Stephanie Lake

Stephanie Lake, one of Australia’s most significant choreographers will talk to Tom about her latest dance creation, The Chronicles.

Tom Wright
Tom is a writer for the stage, literary critic and broadcaster. He has been writing for the stage since the 1990s, mainly adaptations and translations. His scripts have been produced in twenty countries, from monologues to libretti for opera.
He was Associate Artist at Sydney Theatre Company for ten years and is currently Artistic Associate at Belvoir.
He reviews for ABC radio's The Bookshelf and has hosted Adelaide Festival Writer's Week panels over the last twenty years such as Adelaide's Breakfast with Papers and Sorrento's The Morning Feed.
