Warnings

Contains strong language, references to mental illness and themes of suicide.
Utlilises flashing lights and loud sound levels.

A kid with a camera. Two adults. No rehearsal.

Bub is 11-years old and obsessed with documentary filmmaking. In the aftermath of  her family breakdown, Bub turns to dramatised re-enactments to get to the truth.

Each night two new unrehearsed actors play the parents, while the tweenager Bub directs the action.

These brave (or foolhardy) performers discover the story on the night, negotiating disarming questions about parenting, agency, mental health and how we speak to children.

This experiment in onstage filmmaking from NSW based performance collective re:group is as playful as it is poignant. Can these two adults really answer the tough questions of a child?

It’s tremendous fun, exhilarating, and emotionally powerful
