AUSTRALIA

A celestial choreographic encounter.

As a vast canopy of stars spill from the stage into the theatre, surrender your certainty and find your place within a cosmos that refuses to hold still.

Galaxia is the latest production from Gurambilbarra (Townsville)-based contemporary dance company Dancenorth. Renowned for spellbinding fusions of dance, theatre, and technology that ask burning questions of the world, their sold-out 2024 production Wayfinder was a “masterclass on the imperative of connecting with an audience” (The Guardian). Both intimate and infinite, Galaxia is an awe-inspiring collision of spectacular design and mesmerising movement.

With a ceiling of interactive and all-encompassing stars designed by New York theatrical pioneer Andrew Schneider, be part of a collective experience of wonder in this world premiere commission.
