Ennio Morricone Live
Adelaide Symphony Orchestra - Adelaide Festival Chorus
“THE MOZART OF FILM MUSIC”
In the unlikely event of inclement weather, Ennio Morricone Live will still go ahead. Disposable plastic rain ponchos will be provided to all audience members. Umbrellas are not allowed to be opened whilst seated in the venue as they impact the sight lines of people behind.
For more information about the concert, see Ennio Morricone Live: Frequently Asked Questions.
Coyotes howl, whips crack and desperate men whistle long and low. The greatest of all film composers, Ennio Morricone’s sound is unmistakable - and his live performances are unmissable.
In a once in a lifetime event and an Australian premiere, Morricone steps away from the screen and into Adelaide’s Elder Park to lead the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra, six Italian soloists and a massed choir through his iconic film scores.
Prepare for this journey through the multi-award winning maestro's film scores with our A Fistful of Music film program. See cinema classics The Untouchables (M), Cinema Paradiso (M) and Once Upon A Time in the West (M) on the big screen in the lead up to the festival and hear Ennio Morricone In Conversation With David Stratton accompanied by a screening of The Good, The Bad & The Ugly (M15+).
