Nicolas Rothwell is an award-winning writer, journalist and the Northern Australian correspondent for The Australian. In his books Rothwell uses a combination of fiction and non-fiction to explore the Australian north. His travel journeys see him in Darwin, the Kimberley, in hidden towns and vast landscapes. His encounters are with literature, mystics, Aboriginal art and society, anthropologists, rodeo riders, pythons, desert oaks and magpie geese. Rothwell’s books include Heaven and Earth, Wings of the Kite-Hawk, Another Country, The Red Highway and most recently Journeys to the Interior. He lives in Darwin.
