Susan Hiller

Worlds in Collision: Adelaide International 2014

Susan Hiller’s work often explores the repressed permeability of certain prized cultural constructs such as rationality and consciousness, aesthetic value and artistic canons. She refers to her practice as ‘paraconceptual’, just sideways of conceptualism and neighbouring the paranormal. With a practice extending over 40 years, she is considered one of the most influential artists of her generation.
