Raucous one moment, whip-sharp the next–this is a show that doesn’t miss a trick. Beautiful, beastly brilliance

The Telegraph ****

This is the true love story of a beauty queen and a natural born freak. American burlesque star Julie Atlas Muz and British disabled performer Mat Fraser are Beauty and the Beast in this magical sexual journey where the two roles are shared as love is declared. Together with maverick director Phelim McDermott (director of hit show Shockheaded Peter), the internationally acclaimed duo rekindle your lust for life in an adults-only fairytale like no other. Bring a lover (not your mother) to this joyful romp that explores the naked truths about love.

'Relaxed Performance', Sat 14 Mar 2.30pm

As part of Adelaide Festival’s leadership in arts accessibility, the 2:30pm session of Beauty and the Beast on Saturday 14 March is a now a 'relaxed performance'. Relaxed performances are specifically designed to welcome people who will benefit from a more relaxed performance environment, including people with an Autism Spectrum Condition, sensory and communication disorders, or a learning disability. There is a relaxed attitude to noise and movement and some small changes made to the light and sound effects. An easy way to understand the atmosphere is perhaps, 'the opposite of the quiet carriage on the train'.
