  • About

Latin music and 80s rock aren’t an obvious combination, but in Mexico, Morrissey’s songs of love and loss have long had a passionate following. Now, a team of musical gunslingers out of Mexico City pay homage to that love by reinventing the iconic music of The Smiths frontman.

Painting a vibrant and joyous picture of this unlikely obsession is an adventurous seven-piece super-group from Mexico’s rock and pop world, pulled together by DJ and producer Camilo Lara.

Following sell-out seasons in Sydney, London, New York and beyond, and described by The Guardian as one of ‘The 10 Best Gigs of 2017 to book now’ it is now Adelaide’s turn to hear Morrissey’s songs in a brand new light, as Mariachi horns, accordion and bajo sexto prove that music truly has no boundaries.
