One of jazz music's most telling exponents of the art of releasing devastating effects from simple material

The Guardian

A revered pianist and composer, Abdullah Ibrahim has been hailed as the greatest exponent of Cape jazz. During his long and glorious career he has toured the world extensively, performing as soloist with symphony orchestras and with legendary jazz artists such as Max Roach and Randy Weston. His Adelaide performance follows concerts in New York and London, and is an exclusive solo show to celebrate his 80th birthday.
