One of film’s most iconic soundscapes … the height of uneasy, inner-city cool, this is music for hard men to get even to .

BBC on Get Carter

Michael Caine’s early films not only defined the look of an era, but also inspired some of cinema’s greatest scores. Led by musical director Terry Edwards, this concert of music by Sonny Rollins (Alfie), John Barry (The Ipcress File), Quincy Jones (The Italian Job) and Roy Budd (Get Carter) is performed by a veritable who’s who of London’s musical shaker makers, including star of stage, radio and screen Trevor Nichols, members of Gallon Drunk, Madness and Polar Bear, plus Australia's Darren Percival. It’s all the grit and glamour of the sixties, captured in swinging cinematic grooves.
