Patricia Lockwood was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA and raised in all the worst cities of the Midwest. Her poems have appeared widely, including in The New Yorker, The London Review of Books, Tin House and Poetry. In 2013, her poem Rape Joke was published on The Awl and went viral. Her second poetry collection is Motherland Fatherland Homelandsexuals. She is the author of the hugely successful memoir Priestdaddy.
