Australia’s leading festival is approaching its 60th anniversary in March 2020 in an era of extraordinary success under Artistic Directors Neil Armfield and Rachel Healy. The Festival’s current artistic achievements, attendances, critical reception and box office revenue are all outstanding. It is regarded as one of the great multi-arts festivals of the world.

The Executive Director will be a collaborative leader who will develop a dynamic partnership with the Artistic Directors, providing inspiring strategic and cultural leadership, excellent philanthropic and commercial outcomes, and sophisticated stakeholder management.

This senior national and international role requires extensive knowledge of the arts, high-level organisational skills and an innate understanding of the balancing act required to simultaneously achieve great artistic and financial outcomes.

Leading and developing a talented and committed team, the Executive Director will make certain the highest standards are met, ensuring the Festival’s program is as sustainable as it is compelling, while always having an eye over the horizon.

FRONT OF HOUSE MANAGER (Fixed Term Contract from Wed 12th February 2020 – Tues 17th March 2020)

The Front of House Manager oversees the successful delivery of Front of House and ushering services at Adelaide Festival venues who do not supply their own FOH services. This role will hit the ground running, and will suit an experienced Front of House Manager with excellent organisational skills (including rostering, training, leading and motivating the team).

The Front of House Supervisor will be working within a team including fellow front of house supervisors and volunteer ushers. They must have exceptional interpersonal skills, and be motivated, energetic and highly efficient. Successful applicants will have previous front of house experience, excellent people skills and a knowledge and appreciation of live theatre.
