Until her retirement in 2017, Sue Butler was the longstanding Editor of Australia’s national dictionary, the Macquarie Dictionary, where she was largely responsible for the selection and writing of new words. Sue is also the author of The Dinkum Dictionary (now in its third edition), The Aitch Factor, and most recently, Rebel Without a Clause.
Pip Williams is co-author of the book Time Bomb: Work Rest and Play in Australia Today, and the author of the memoir, One Italian Summer. The Dictionary of Lost Words is her first novel.
Victoria Purman is a bestselling Australian author whose most recent novel, The Women’s Pages, was published in 2020.
