Doveman's Burgundy Stain Sessions and This is the Kit
With Robert Forster, Sam Amidon, Sally Seltman & Julia Stone
United States / United Kingdom / Australia
"[Thomas Bartlett] often sounds as if he's on the brink of passing out from heartache fumes."
Time Out New York
Doveman transports his monthly in-the-round Le Poisson Rouge residency direct from New York for this Adelaide exclusive, performing desperately beautiful music in cosy experimental sessions. His New York residency has attracted everyone from Norah Jones to St. Vincent's Annie Clark, Beth Orton, Nico Muhly and Laurie Anderson. Joining Doveman is multi-instrumentalist Kate Stables, aka This is the Kit, Robert Forster of Australia’s cherished band The Go-Betweens, Vermont folk-music artist Sam Amidon, the fragile yet intoxicating singer-songwriter Sally Seltmann and one half of Australia’s favourite ARIA Award-winning brother-sister duo Julia Stone.
Please note, Aaron Dessner will no longer be appearing in this event as advertised in the 2013 Adelaide Festival program.
