First Nations Artistic Directors' Roundtable

In a revolutionary moment for Australian dance, First Nations Artistic Directors of multi-year funded dance companies will gather together on Kaurna Yerta to think, dream and plant the seeds of the future.

Facilitated by Marilyn Miller and Wesley Enoch AM, Blak Futures will see artists Gary Lang (NT Dance Company), Frances Rings (Bangarra Dance Theatre), Jacob Boehme (Idja Dance Theatre), Dalisa Pilgram (Marrugeku), Daniel Riley (Australian Dance Theatre), Joel Bray (Joel Bray Dance), Katina Olsen (Dance Makers Collective) and Thomas E.S Kelly and Taree Sansbury (Karul Projects) reimagine what dance can be in this country.

This unprecedented two-day event will begin with an intimate consultation with First Nations dancers from across South Australia, before opening to the public on the second day for a series of game-changing conversations with some of the nation’s fiercest Blak leaders.

Join us at The Odeon Theatre on Sun 17 Mar. Tickets are free but bookings are essential.
